Unimaginable Loss

In a recent OT session, our trauma-informed therapist read a very simple picture book with our child about a baby animal looking for its mama.  Afterward, she asked our kiddo who was understandably quite upset by the story to draw her feelings.  You can clearly see the head, big eyes and wavy mouth.  When asked what all the other squiggly lines were, our daughter said, "Tears."
