Moving Day

After more than a month of Craig and me moving everything we possibly could on our own, we called in reinforcements for the big stuff on Saturday.  Moving Day unfolded like this:

6:00 am - Craig and I got up and started packing
7:00 am - kids were up and needed to be dressed and fed
7:30 am - Craig left to get the U-Haul
9:00 am - Ms. Rie arrived
9:30 am - cousins arrived to help
12:00 noon - lunch
12:30 pm - U-Haul left fully loaded for new house, some cousins helped me clean old house
1:00 pm - Ms. Rie left
3:30 pm - after returning the U-Haul, Craig and cuz came back to load pick-up truck and van
4:15 pm - Martini family left their old home (there may have been some tears)
5:00 pm - we arrived at new home and started unpacking
6:30 pm - Craig fell violently ill with the stomach flu (36 hours of pain ensued)

Since Craig was bedridden all Sunday and not back 100% yet today, there still remains much to do here at our new house.  But, it's livable now.  Everybody is sleeping in his/her bed, the internet is up and running, I have all my kitchen supplies and the fridge is stocked.  We actually ate our first family dinner around the dining room table tonight and it gave me a hopeful glimpse of what life might be like in this home when we're all settled in.  Stay tuned for more on this big change in the coming weeks.
